Maintenance and repair programs of special track measuring equipment imply the following types of activities:

1. Preventive maintenance such as:

• routine;
• medium;
• overhaul.

2. Update of track measuring equipment:

• updating of the coaches to the level of new models;
• installation of additional measuring systems;
• improvement of processing hardware.

3. Technical support of track measuring cars is carried out during the inter-repair period and includes:

• cooperation with JSC Russian Railways on improving software and methodological support for monitoring the condition of railway track facilities;
• monitoring the technical condition of track measuring cars;
• comprehensive analysis of the operation of;
• trouble-shooting in case of faults and damages;
• software update and its installation on track measuring cars;
• remote support on the operation of track measuring cars;
• providing user manual documentation.

4. Calibration of diagnostic tools:

• primary – at the plant when the track measuring car is manufactured or after its overhauling;
• scheduled – at the plant or on the railway of its registration, carried out by the manufacturer's specialists after one year of operation since its previous calibration.

To ensure the necessary level of qualification of specialists working with on-board automated systems and measuring hardware, they take timely advanced training courses (at least every three years).

All maintenance and updating works of track measuring cars are carried out at the manufacturing plant of the enterprise – Dimitrovgrad branch of JSC SPC INFOTRANS in accordance with the maintenance documentation approved by JSC Russian Railways.
