Self-propelled Multifunctional diagnostic train for underground railway "SMDK-Mtr"
A diagnostic complex SMDK-Mtr is designed for automatic seamless monitoring of underground railway systems infrastructure.
It is used for monitoring of track facilities, automatic and remote control devices, all types of radio communication (analog and digital), structure gauge, catenary, environmental condition etc. at speeds up to 80 km/h.
  • monitoring of parameters which affect the ride comfort when transporting the passengers;
  • detection of overheated hardware elements, cables and load-bearing structures;
  • ecological condition and safety for passengers and the environment;
  • detection of places of water leaks and moistened places in the tunnel construction;
  • inspection of all types of radio communication used on the Moscow Metro, including a commercial one.
The SMDK-Mtr project is one of the best examples of cutting-edge technologies in diagnostic complexes. The functionality of the equipment allows to obtain data on the condition of the underground infrastructure with high accuracy and reliability. The complex enables not only monitoring of permanent way, gauge clearance, catenary and means of ensuring the railway operation, but it also implements a number of new diagnostic solutions, such as:
It is equipped with the following systems:
  • a multifunctional inertial contactless track geometry measuring system (MIBIS);
  • a spatial scanning system;
  • multifunctional high speed system of permanent way video monitoring;
  • a multifunctional system of catenary inspection;
  • a system of axle box and car body acceleration monitoring;
  • a system of infrastructure thermal visio- and video inspection;
  • a multifunctional system of automatic speed control parameters measurement;
  • a multifunctional system of train radio communication monitoring;
  • a multifunctional system of ecology inspection.
