Designed to determine the dynamics of the wheel-rail interaction. It is installed on a rotating ICN passenger train with a controlled tilt of the body. It has been in operation in Switzerland since 2018.
The OBM-N system is installed on a standard passenger car and designed to carry out the necessary measurements in accordance with SBB I-20019 standards on special safety conditions for high-speed traffic in curves.
The purpose of the OBM-N project was to replace the diagnostic runs of the VT612 train with the possibility of expanding the tasks to be solved in the future.

OBM-N includes a central system and the following measuring (peripheral) systems:
- positioning system;
- acceleration measurement system;
- tensometric wheelsets (TWS) of the Prose company;
- a system for measuring environmental parameters;
- a system for information from additional sensors on running bogies.
